Craft Time

For this week’s craft, you will need paper, glue, scissors, and some pens, pencils, or crayons. Cut out a monster of any shape you like, give it a face and write a message on it, and then create long arms - maybe by making paper chains - for the monster’s arms, long enough to give someone a hug! Gabhaibh spòrs, and don’t forget to send us some photos of what you make.

This week we are looking at building (a'togail) and demolishing (leag)! There are loads of things you can build and demolish safely at home - cardboard castles, towers of bricks, stacks of cushions, a weeks worth of recycling!

Craft Time

For this week’s craft, you will need things from your recycling box to make towers, so toilet roll tubes, cardboard boxes, plastic yoghurt pots or things like that, glue, scissors, and stuff to decorate with!  Gabhaibh spòrs, and don’t forget to send us some photos of what you make.

Let's make some bugs! You and someone else in your family can make your own burras (caterpillar) out of paper and then race them along a table or floor! You will need a straw, some paper, scissors and some pens or crayons to decorate your beasties.

As we begin another week of lockdown in Edinburgh, our new online version of Cròileagan continues. Just to remind you all, we will continue to post our weekly newsletter with craft and song and words to learn. We can't do circle time (we miss it!) like normal so we will add soundfiles to this blog or link to ones elsewhere online that you can use with your wee ones. We will be choosing crafts that we think most people will have the materials for at home and we would love to see pictures of your inventions if you don't mind sharing them! The easiest way for you to send them to us is probably by Facebook messenger to our page, or you could also email them to us.
