Àireamhan 2

We continued to look at numbers (Àireamhan) this week.

We learned how to ask 'how many'

Cia mheud bailiùn? - how many balloons?

Our craft was colouring in a picture of Cabag with a bunch of balloons.

At song time we sang 'Aon, dha, trì, 's toil leam fhìn tì' and 'Tunnagan Beaga'. The words for both of these, as well as our phrases of the week, are on the handout above.

Àireamhan 1

We moved on from our colours topic and started learning more about numbers this week,

We revised our number counting up to 10 and at craft time we made an ochd-chasach (octopus)

At song time we sand two songs, 'Aon, dhà, trì, 's toil leam fhìn tì' and an old favourite 'Coig tunnagan beaga'. You can see the words to these, and the words for the other numbers, on our handout above.

Dathan 2

We continued with our topic of colours for a second week this week.

At craft time we coloured in a rainbow (bogha-froise) picture and at song time our song was again 'Dathan aig a' bhogha fhroise'.

You can see the words of the song and the words we revised again on the handout below.

Dathan

For our first week back after the Easter holidays we learned about colours.

We learned about the names of all the colours in the rainbow (bogha-froise) and also the word for butterfly (dealan-dè), and how to say 'I like' (Is toigh leum).

At craft time we made symmetrical butterfly pictures using lots of bright coloured paints.

At song time we sang 'Dathan aig a' bhogha-fhroise'.

You can find the song words and all the other words we learned this week on the handout below.
