Biastagan(1)

Fàilte air ais gu Cròileagan!

Cò tha comhla rinn an duigh?

An t-seachdain seo

This week we are looking at bugs and beasties! Can you find any in your garden or when you go for a walk?

Abairt na Seachdain

Our words for this week are:

Biastag(an)  - Beastie(s)
Burras - Caterpillar
Damhan-allaidh - Spider
Seillean - Bee
Daolag - Beetle
Daolag-bhreac - Ladybird

You can hear how to pronounce these words by clicking here.

Craft time

Let's make some bugs! You and someone else in your family can make your own burras (caterpillar) out of paper and then race them along a table or floor! You will need a straw, some paper, scissors and some pens or crayons to decorate your beasties.

If you love spiders, we also made them from egg boxes in a previous craft, you can find the link here.

Song time

Our song this week is "Damhan-allaidh, damhan allaidh" - "Spider, spider". You can listen to the song being sung here as part of Gaelic Bookbug.

Don’t forget to share your art work with us, and we can share it all at the end of the week. We would really love to see what everyone is doing.

Stay safe!

An Sgioba Cròileagan 🙂
