Sa Mhadainn

This week we will be learning some vocabulary for morning routines. You can hear the pronunciations here. We will sing Nigh d' aodann salach which goes through several of the phrases verse by verse and is handy to sing at home as you get ready in the mornings. There will also be corresponding pictures to cut and stick in order.

Cumaidhean

This week we will be learning the Gaelic words for some basic shapes. You can hear the pronunciation of the vocabulary here. We will be making some shape monsters. Our song for the week is Dathan aig a' Bhogha-Fhrois which you can listen to here. (In this version they sing "gorm" which is blue instead of "liath" which is light blue or grey.)

We will be making some rainbows at the craft table and singing Dathan aig a' Bhogha-Fhrois (Colours of the rainbow).  You can hear it being sung here. (They sing "gorm" where we sing "liath" which you can see in the Duilleag Fiosrachaidh are both words for blue.)

Àireamhan 2

Fàilte Air Ais!

It was lovely to see so many of you last week. We enjoyed catching up with old pals, and meeting new ones. We are looking forward to seeing even more of you this week.

Our first topic this term is numbers (àireamhan), which we will continue with this week. Below you can see this week's Duilleag Fiosrachaidh (information sheet). We'll be singing Còig Tunnagan Beaga, which many of you know, and we'll be learning how to ask and tell our age (well, some of us anyway!). You can find the sound files for the vocabulary here, and you can hear the song being sung here.

Look out for the new section on our Duilleag Fiosrachaidh - Abairtean Feumail (useful phrases). These are phrases that you can practice using during Cròileagan sessions, and at home. We will change these on a termly basis, so you'll have lots of time to get using them.

Our session times have changed this term, and we are re-introducing our Tuesday morning sessions. You can find details of session times and booking in all the usual places, but our weekly timetable will look like this:

Mondays 9.15-11.00, Leith community centre
Tuesdays 9.15-11.00, Taobh na Pàirce
Wednesdays 9.45-11.30, Tollcross Community Centre
Fridays 9.15-11.00, Taobh na Pàirce

Chì sinn sibh an t-seachdain seo! See you this week!
